The moment of the attack, perpetrated at dawn this Wednesday by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with US HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems against the headquarters of the Administration of the city of Energodar, which houses the Zaporozhie nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe, has been recorded by surveillance cameras.
In the recording, you can see how a strong explosion engulfed the building in flames and smoke, damaging its structure.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian military used this artillery to perpetrate an attack against a civil facility, in which a bridge at the entrance to the city and an electrical substation were damaged. The attack caused a blackout in the entire city.
Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the Administration of the Zaporozhye region, pointed out that the Ukrainian troops tried to penetrate Energodar from the river with at least 30 boats, with the aim of taking the nuclear power plant. According to his words, the battle lasted several hours and the attack was interrupted.
