The dome of a mosque in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, collapsed this Wednesday after a fire broke out during restoration work on the building, according to local media.
The affected structure is located in a building complex that belongs to the Islamic Center of Jakarta, a ‘think tank’ dedicated to studies of the Muslim religion.
The authorities reported that at the moment there are no records of injuries and that the cause of the incident is being investigated. Along these lines, four workers from the contractor company in charge of renovating the mosque have been questioned.
