Aerolineas Argentinas reported that passengers who were found to be “most compromised” were not wearing seat belts.
Twelve people were injured after severe turbulence recorded on an Aerolineas Argentinas flight flying from Madrid with destination to Buenos Aires, the company reported in a statement on Wednesday.
“Nine passengers with different minor injuries had to be treated. They were immediately released by airport health. While another three had to be transferredfor a more exhaustive control 2022″, detailed the airline.
The event occurred over the Atlantic Ocean, off Brazil, and after the aircraft had landed, at 4:00 30 local time, in the Minister Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza, province of Buenos Aires), the medical service was carried out.
As explained by the crew of the flight AR1133, at the time of the turbulence, the signs to fasten the seat belt were on and the corresponding announcement was also made
“The passengers who were the most compromised and who were the ones who had to be transferred, were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the turbulence,” he added.
The plane was carrying 13 crew and 53 passengers.
