Turkey plans to build a permanent scientific base in Antarctica to conduct research in various fields, including the impact of climate change on our planet.

“We have already carried out six scientific expeditions to Antarctica to investigate. This year, I hope there will be another one. We have created a temporary scientific base there, and now we want to make it permanent,” Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank told local television channel A Haber on Thursday.
