The drug was abandoned inside the vehicle and was destined for the city of Guayaquil. The Anti-Drug Unit of the National Police of Ecuador seized on Wednesday 316 packets of cocaine found in an abandoned dump truck in the city of Santo Domingo, capital of the homonymous province, reported the newspaper The universe.
According to the subzone commander of the Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas Police, Xavier Rosero, the shipment would be destined for the city of Guayaquil.

The police chief explained that the seized packages, rectangular in shape and with different types of logos, are equivalent to approximately 300 million doses, which in the domestic market have “a cost of 400,000 dollars” and internationally its estimated value is close to “10 million dollars”.
The truck was found abandoned at kilometer 21 of the Santo Domingo-Quevedo road, the Police reported. Upon arriving at the scene and inspecting the dump truck, the officers discovered the drug in a compartment.
The heavy transport was without a driver or companions, so there was no arrest.
