After claiming to be a member of Petro’s escort, agents verified his identity and discovered that he was not part of the police institution or the team he was talking about. He was arrested under the accusations of supplanting authority and falsifying a public document.

According to the newspaper El Tiempo, the criminal would have tried to enter the Central Police Hospital, located in the same area, where Petro visited the wounded soldiers during the tense day of clashes between indigenous people and the Mobile Anti-riot Squad (Esmad). ) in the center of the capital.
