The Aston Villa Football Club, a football club from the United Kingdom based in Birmingham and which disputes the Premier League, confirmed this Thursday the dismissal, with immediate effect, of Steven Gerrard in his duties as head coach of the team. This came after the team’s 3-0 loss to Fulham.

A team spokesperson said: “We would like to thank Steven for his hard work and commitment, and we wish the best for the future”.
