Moscow and Caracas are also analyzing the joint implementation of the national production of the drug in the Venezuelan territory.

More than 1.2 million doses of insulin, from Russia, arrived this week in Venezuela , within the framework of an agreement reached between both nations.

In this way, assistance is provided to Venezuelan patients who require these medications, and who are unable to obtain them , due to the US economic blockade that prevents Venezuela from accessing international markets for its purchase.

This is the second shipment of this type that enters the country in 2022, with the next shipment expected to be in the first quarter of 2023.

In addition, the two countries are analyzing the joint implementation of the national production of insulin in the Venezuelan territory. “The most importantthat last year the agreement between both parties was concluded to carry out a national production here, on Venezuelan soil, together with the Venezuelan company Espromed Bio”, declared the Russian ambassador in Venezuela, Serguél Mélik-Bagdasárov.

It should be remembered that cooperation in this area began between the two nations in 2019, and to date, according to the Venezuelan authorities, about 3 million doses have arrived in the country.
