The South Korean president, Yoon Suk-yeol, has declared a period of national mourning for the at least 151 who died in the stampede that took place this Saturday night during the Halloween celebrations in the South Korean capital, Seoul, reports Yonhap.
The events occurred after a crowd advanced through a narrow alley near the Hamilton Hotel, located in a popular nightlife area of Seoul. In addition to the deceased, 82 people were injured.
