West did not retract while making his comments, however, he apologized for asserting that George Floyd’s death was fentanyl-induced and not caused by gross police authority.

The controversy in surrounding Ye and accusations of anti-Semitism arose after a since-deleted social media post in which he suggested rapper/record producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was controlled by “the Jewish people.”
