Ebrahim Raisi indicated that the remarks made by the US president recall the declarations of the founder of the Islamic Republic, in which he described the US as the “great Satan”.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi accused his American counterpart, Joe Biden, on Sunday of inciting “chaos, terror and destruction” in Iran, reports the IRNA agency.

Raisi indicated that Biden’s remarks recall the statements made by the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Ruhollah Khomeini, in which he described the US as the “great Satan”.

“The prejudices of Washington during the last 70 years against the crimes of the Zionist entity within Palestine and the occupation of Afghan territory by US troops for two decades are just a few examples of the evil acts that emanate from this Satan,” he stressed.

According to the head of state, a deeper examination of the roots of the sabotage, assassinations and riots taking place in the region could reveal the traces of US actions.

Iran faces nationwide anti-government protests
