Ian Parodi living in the United States since 2014, begins in the world of music with his new single Verte, a song that is inspired by his personal life, in which he expresses the feeling of his heart.
Ian Parodi since childhood feels a great passion for music and although he took other paths such as design and being a Youtuber, he considers that in the end, all directions led in one way or another to music.
The young man feels that this is his destiny, so when he was presented with the opportunity to realize his dream did not hesitate to take it, this decision led him to be currently promoting his first song and in the process of releasing his second song, which will be like an exciting pop ballad, as he described.
What motivated you to become a singer?
Well, when I was seven years old I sang for the first time in front of many people, in a church event and when I finished singing and people started telling me that I was doing very well, that I sang very well, I think that’s when I felt that this was something important for me.
Besides, music has been a passion for me since I was a child, when I left Perú and started from scratch, I began to look for other professional alternatives but somehow music found me, it was something like I looked for it and it looked for me, I think that’s what motivated me, I feel it was destined to happen.
At what age did you start in the world of music?
I decided to dedicate myself to music professionally on November 2014. I think the decision to be a singer comes from a young age since I have always wanted to dedicate myself to music but I looked for other alternatives, other careers.
Studied design and I was a professional in that area, then I had a YouTube channel, where sometimes I posted myself singing, people liked it and encouraged me to do it, which gave me more strength to make the decision. On the other hand, music was always looking for me, until I finally got the opportunity.
What are your expectations with your new single?
My expectation is to reach people, that they connect with the real feeling of the song, but more than anything with my story, that is, not so much with the song but with the story behind it, of how I have built my path to make the transition to become an artist.
For me, Verte marks an end in my life but at the same time a beginning, the beginning of my career.
Where did the idea for Verte come from?
The story behind Verte is a love story, a very personal one. I wrote it because of my separation and it is about those different love stories, different, a little complicated but at the same time, it gives you the satisfaction of having lived a love like that.
Even in the official video, I used the t-shirt I used to wear to see myself with her at the end of the last scene of the video, I burst into tears, which for me was a liberation therapy and at the same time a way to end with the bad memories and stay only with the good ones, with the beautiful ones.
How would you describe your musical genre?
Well I would describe it as Pop Latin, but at the same time with many influences, in this case, Verte has a little bit of Pop Rock and Country influence, that is to say without limiting myself, what I like about Pop is that I can use all the influences I have.
Have you had any influence or any idol that has inspired you in this profession?
Yes, Juanes is my idol, since I was a child I have been a very loyal fan of him and his music; I respect him a lot as an artist and a person.
What would you say has been your biggest challenge so far as a singer?
I think my biggest challenge was and still is to build a solid career, I am focused on that, that my career has a stable and strong base.
What are the projects you have Verte?
Well, right now I’m working on a new single, which would be my second song, which talks about self-love, it’s a happy song, of strength, of empowerment, it’s about overcoming the pain of the past, as a recipe to see the positive side. For the moment this is my next project.
