Floyd Mayweather has not closed the possibility of returning to professional boxing and revealed the sum of money for which he would be willing to put his unbeaten record of 50 wins at stake, 27 of them by KO.
“It is better that they know that at least, and this is what lower, I’m talking 200 million [dollars],” the boxing legend said in a phone interview with Fight Hype this week.
Mayweather, 45, spoke of his popularity and assured that, despite his retirement, he is still “the most talked about in boxing” and that continues to obtain economic benefit from it. He also stated that he has three exhibitions planned for the rest of the year.
Also known as Money, first announced that he would leave the ring in 2015, once faced Andre Berto in September of that year. However, he got back on a string as a professional in 2017 to face former UFC champion Conor McGregor, whom he defeated by TKO in the tenth round, officially ending his brilliant career.
