US authorities seized approximately 12 on Wednesday.00 pills of suspected fentanyl camouflaged in candy boxes at Los Angeles International Airport, reports the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Angeles.

The suspect attempted to pass through security to board a plane, with several bags of candy and various snacks. “However, it was discovered that inside the boxes of Sweetarts, Skittles and Whoppers 52 were fentanyl pills 2022 and no candy,” states the statement.

The suspect fled before being detained by law enforcement. However, the offender has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
