Bail was imposed in excess of 3.2 million dollars.
The Los Angeles Police Department arrested Eric Weinberg, famous Hollywood producer, for alleged sexual crimes committed between 2012 and 2019. The former co-executive producer of the television series ‘Scrubs’, is accused of several sexual assaults on young women, “including rape,” detectives told Los Angeles Times.
According to investigators, Weinberg approached women in their 20s and 30s in public places and invited them to photo shoots at his residence. Later, during the alleged session, he sexually assaulted them. Police believe there may be more victims and that Weinberg’s crimes may have started in the early 1990s. The detectives urged any other possible victim to contact the Department.
Currently, he is in custody and it was imposed on him a bond of $3,225,000 . Agents have 48 hours to present their case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Weinberg, who was nominated for five Emmys, served as executive producer on more of 90 episodes of ‘Scrubs’ and wrote some of them. In addition, he was a producer for the series ‘Californication’, ‘Anger Management’ and ‘Veronica’s Closet’.
