The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, returned to Pinar del Río this Thursday, for the sixth time after the passage of Hurricane Ian, to supervise the recovery work after the ravages left by that natural phenomenon.
Pinar del Río was the territory hardest hit in Cuba by Hurricane Ian, which passed at the end of September, with maximum sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour and heavy rains; causing destruction both in that province and in Artemisa and the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud.
According to the Cuban Presidency, the president was able to confirm this Thursday that the power has been restored by 66,91 % in Pinar del Rio.

Furthermore, 1 have been recovered.945 homes and fixed telephony has been restored to 82 % and mobile to 100 %.
On the other hand, the Presidency details that of 15.000 Tons of tobacco affected, 5 have been saved.000 and “the others are recovering and moving to other provinces”.
