Crypto Platform Offers $300,000 Reward to Hacker Who Stole Millions of Dollars

Nirvana Finance maintains that the attacker’s wallet address had already been determined and that work was underway to ascertain his identity.

The decentralized finance crypto platform Nirvana Finance, from which 3 were stolen, 5 million dollars on July 27, offered a $300,000 reward to the hacker who discovered the vulnerability in their protocol. The developers of the protocol, based on the Solana blockchain, asked the attacker to return the funds in exchange for the mutually advantageous ‘white hat reward’. They also promised to completely stop the investigation into his identity after the return of the funds, reports Cointelegraph.

The specialized site published this Friday that Nirvana Finance was attacked through insecurity discovered by the ‘hacker’ in the quick loans (instant loans that do not require g guarantee). The attack dropped the price of Nirvana Finance’s stablecoin, the NIRV, by 85% from its parity with the dollar and has no guaranteed market value.

In various tweets addressed to the ‘hacker’, the Nirvana Finance team assured that the attacker’s wallet address had already been determined and that work was underway to ascertain his identity. They also indicated that the stolen funds belong to ordinary people and not too large funds, and urged him to return them and settle the matter amicably.
