China launches Shenzhou-14 spacecraft with 3 taikonauts on board

Shenzhou-14 was launched with a Long March-2F carrier rocket at 02:44 GMT from the Shenzhou Launch Center. Jiuquan satellites.

China launched the Shenzhou-14 spacecraft to its orbital station this Sunday reported the Chinese Manned Space Agency. The crew is made up of Chen Dong, Cai Xuzhe and Liu Yang, who became the first Chinese woman in space in 2012 after participating in the Shenzhou 9 space mission. This is her second trip to space.

Shenzhou-14 was launched with a Long March-2F carrier rocket at 10:44 Beijing time (02:44 GMT) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The mission will complete the construction of the Tiangong space station.

During their stay in orbit for 6 months, the three taikonauts will witness how the two laboratory modules, the The Tianzhou-5 cargo ship and the Shenzhou-15 spacecraft, scheduled to launch next December, dock with the Tianhe core module. The Shenzhou-14 mission will then rotate into orbit with the recently arrived Shenzhou-15 crew and return to the landing site in Dongfeng.
