US President Joe Biden called UK Prime Minister Liz Truss’s original economic plan , as an “error” and assured that the result was “predictable”.
“I was not the only one who thought it was a mistake,” the president told reporters at an ice cream parlor in Portland, Oregon during a campaign stop for Tina Kotek, who is running for governor of the state. “I don’t agree with the policy, but that’s up to the UK,” he added.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the result was “predictable”, after Truss was forced to go back with his fiscal plan and announced that it is not going to freeze the scheduled increase in the corporate tax of the 19 to the 25 % from next year, as planned by the government of his predecessor, Boris Johnson.
Biden also commented that he will not he was worried about the state of the dollar or the US economy. “ I’m not worried about the strength of the dollar , I’m worried about the rest of the world,” he said, assuring that “the economyit is strong as hell”.
