Argentina will assume, starting next Monday, the ‘pro tempore’ presidency of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) for the period 2022-2024.
This body will hold from 24 to 26 of October, in Buenos Aires, its thirty-ninth session, which is considered “the most important biennial meeting” of this regional body that is part of the United Nations Organization Nations (UN).
ECLAC explained that at the summit it will deliver to the countries of the region its “strategic proposal for a transformation of the productive structure that fosters economic reactivation in a path of sustainable development. It will also present its report on 2021 and the lines of work for the biennium will be defined (2023-2024).
