An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred this Sunday near the Kingdom of Tonga, in the Pacific Ocean, reports the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

The focus of the telluric movement was located at 220 kilometers north of the city of Neiafu, where about 4.300 people live. The depth of the earthquake was 100 km. There are still no reports of damage or casualties, nor has a tsunami warning been issued.
