The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, held a telephone conversation with the leftist leader Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Sunday night, after learning of his victory in the Brazilian ballot.
On his Twitter account, Díaz-Canel reported this Monday on what he expressed to Lula da Silva on behalf of former President Raúl Castro, the people and the Government of Cuba. “I told him: ‘Your victory belongs to Brazil and Latin America and the Caribbean, to integration and peace. Always count on Cuba.'”
Last night, with the emotion of victory, I spoke with @LulaOficial. I sent him hugs from Raúl, from the people and government of #Cuba and told him: “Your victory belongs to Brazil and Latin America and the Caribbean, to integration and peace. Always count on Cuba.”
