On Tuesday, a 18-year-old youth killed 19 minors and two teachers in a school in Uvalde.
A young man was arrested this Wednesday in a school in Richardson (Texas, USA) for illegal possession of weapons, just one day after a shooter killed 21 people at another school in the same state.
The Richardson Police Department received a complaint in the morning about a Armed person with something similar to a rifle and heading towards Berkner High School.
Immediately, a large police team was dispatched to the scene, while other educational centers in the neighborhood were warned about the search. During the operation, the suspect was located inside of the aforementioned school and turned out to be one of their students.
Although the teen was not carrying a weapon at the time, the investigation found a vehicle parked in a side parking, used by the suspect. An AK-47-style weapon and a replica rifle AR-15“, according to the police statement.
The youth was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon in a school zone, which is a state felony punishable by imprisonment.
No further details about the suspect are revealed due to his age, the statement specifies.
This Tuesday, the state of Texas suffered the school massacre deadliest in its history, when Salvador Ramos, 18, opened fire at Robb Elementary, located in the city of Uvalde. The attack left 21 dead, including 19 children.
The attacker, killed by security forces, was a high school student from the same town. Ramos had shot his grandmother before heading to the site of the massacre.
