“A choice between democracy and authoritarianism”: Mujica participates in the closing of Lula's campaign

The former Uruguayan president was one of the central figures in the so-called ‘Victory Walk’ that toured the main streets of Sao Paulo.

Former Uruguayan president José ‘Pepe’ Mujica participated in the closing of the campaign of former president and Brazilian presidential candidate for the Workers’ Party (PT), Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, held this Saturday in the city of Sao Paulo.

Mujica, Lula and Fernando Haddad, PT candidate for governor of the state of Sao Paulo, were the central figures of the so-called ‘Victory Walk‘, which toured the main streets of the city.

The former Uruguayan president considers that the second back in Brazil “it is not a choice between left and right, it is between democracy and authoritarianism”, for which he reiterated his I support Lula.
