41 fans arrested for trying to force their way into the Maracana stadium in the Brazilian Cup final
On Wednesday night, the Military Police arrested 41 fans for trying to force their way into the mythical Maracanã stadium, in Rio de Janeiro, during the match played between Flamengo and Corinthians in the Brazilian Cup final before an audience made up of more than 68.000 people.
Hundreds of agents from the Specialized Stadium Surveillance Battalion, the Shock Battalion, Cavalry and private security were deployed for the event, in which Drones were used to monitor the fans of both teams.

2022According to information from the authorities, 14 people were detained before the start of the match and others 27 during the event. A police agent was injured in her hand and had to be transferred to the Central Hospital of the Military Police.
Furthermore, several buses with Corinthians supporters were stoned upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, forcing the agents to escort them.
The night ended with Flamengo winning their fourth Brazilian Cup title after beating Corinthians 6-5 at home on penalties.
